Linae and Trever are the kindest people…very polite, calm, and super sweet. Their wedding day was just as laid back as them. The only hiccup in the day was when it rained for the pictures of Linae and Trever together…fortunately, the church had a little overhang and we were able to stay dry! (mostly dry anyway!) I’ve been super blessed to have such amazing clients, whose beauty is evident both inside and out. Congrats Linae and Trever, I wish you nothing but the best!

Sometimes I meet clients and it’s like I have known them forever, and that’s exactly how it was with Ryan and Becky. I can’t say enough great things about these two…they are simply one the best (who happened to be referred to me by another one of my all time favorite couples Samantha and Nathan!) The day went really smooth, considering the rain (I just can’t seem to get away from rain lately!) and I had so much fun watching these two awesome people. Their love simply radiated…I know, that sounds corny, but seriously, it’s true. Their families, their bridal party, their guests were all funny, kind, and gracious. I’m grateful for my clients and consider it a blessing to be able to be a part of one of the most special days in their life! Congrats Ryan and Becky, may God bless you as you begin your marriage together!
yes, this is how most of my clients look at me….haaa, love it!

Chris and Emily were my first wedding to start the season, and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple (and bridal party)! Earlier in the week, the forecast called for 90% rain….I was praying hard we would be able to get some images outside…and we certainly lucked out. The only images we couldn’t get outside were the family formals, because it was pouring outside. And when I say pouring, I mean, my assistant and I got completely soaked (with an umbrella, mind you) when we went to get the lights out of my car….but at least we dried rather quickly! During their engagement session, I kept calling Chris the wrong name…Nick (I swear, he looks like a Nick, doesn’t he?) So, of course it took all I had to keep calling him by the right name, but he was a great sport…besides, most of his groomsmen went by nicknames, so we dubbed “Nick” as his new nickname. Emily was gorgeous in her lace gown and everyone went beyond their way to help make their day wonderful.

They were supposed to get ready in the church basement…but I had another idea! I’m so grateful that my brides trust me when I ask them to do things that are out of the norm.  I’m pretty sure the basement wouldn’t have been as dramatic as this!

Chris’s mom made some wonderful cookies for the reception….I thought they made a good background to show off Emily’s amazing ring (good job Nick…I mean Chris!)
And we finished the night doing a little jig in the dark. It wasn’t raining like we wanted here, but there was a light sprinkle….I love how they turned out. Chris and Emily even gifted me their umbrella to use for future weddings, am I lucky or what? Congrats guys, you were awesome!

Mattea and Nathan are absolutely adorable together….let me just say, Nathan is over the moon for Mattea (which, of course he should be!)  He looks at her like she is the only person in the room, they were simply meant for each other (yay, for blind dates!…yep, that’s how this love story began!) Their wedding day was sort of cold…..let me rephrase that….it was absolutely bone chilling. My lips got chapped and my fingers were so numb, I could barely feel my camera (but why am I complaining, Mattea and her bridesmaids were outside without a coat!).  Did I mention this was a New Year’s Eve wedding? What an awesome way to ring in the new year as husband and wife. Congrats Mattea and Nathan!

Amber and R.J.’s wedding was a dream. Everything ran smoothly and timely, and Amber was the picture of elegance. All of the details came together…and let me just say, the Empyrean downtown  (where the girls got ready and where the reception was hosted that night) were amazing to work with. The attention to detail and customer service they gave was phenomenal. The flowers were done by my friends at Be Married…I can’t say enough great things about them as well! Take a look, I’m pretty sure you may want to have a winter wedding!
